Eye Examinations

Regular eye examinations are as important as any other health check, you only have one pair of eyes, our aim is to keep them healthy and you looking good.

Many eye conditions do not have obvious symptoms, so eye tests are often the only means of identifying and treating them. In some cases eye tests can even identify precursors to other health issues. We recommend regular eye tests to help keep you and your eyes in good health.

Our range of comprehensive eye examinations do much more than check on how well you can see. It can give valuable insight into the health of your eyes as well as health issues that affect other parts of the body. Examples of what can be identified with a full and detailed eye test are shown below:

  • Glaucoma
  • Cataracts
  • Macular degeneration
  • Eye strain
  • Dry eye
  • Diabetes
  • Risk of high blood pressure or stroke
  • Risk of high cholesterol levels

Usually eye tests are recommended every 2 years, but certain people may need tests more regularly.

Our consulting rooms are equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment to measure what you can see, as well as determine the health of your entire visual system.

Your optometrist will explain and discuss the results of an eye examination before prescribing lenses and frames
