David graduated from City University, London in 1986, where he was awarded the Peter Madden Memorial Prize for contact lens practice. He then trained at Moorfields Eye Hospital, before acquiring Brooks and Wardman Optometrists in 1989. From 2000-2015 David worked with Professor Stephen Vernon at Queens Medical Centre Nottingham, as part of the multi-disciplinary glaucoma team winning the Allergan Glaucoma Achievement awards in 2008 . His areas of expertise include glaucoma diagnosis and management, low vision and complex contact lens fittings. During his time at Brooks and Wardman, David has been a visiting lecturer at the University of Birmingham lecturing in low vision and has worked as part of the medical team at the London 2012 Paralympic Games!
